Description
We have a 1yo castrated male looking for a new loving home through no fault of his own but our older dog just cannot adapt to him at all and is becoming a shell of himself
We've had Gerald since 12 weeks old and he really is the most loving kind pup u could ask for .. this decision hasn't been taken lightly but it's necessary for both our household and Geralds long term happiness .
They honest truths about him
He loves ALL the attention ( one of the main reasons for rehoming ) we have our older dog , 3 children and 2 cats we have to divide our attentions between aswell as both working full time , he can sometimes chew things up if left lying around and unattended for long periods of time , we usually find a nice big yaker bone keeps him very occupied
He has on occasion had a wee accident indoors if he is not in his crate and hasn't been let out within a cpl hours but he will generally walk to the back door to let you know he needs to go
He loves his crate and will willingly take himself off to it when he knows it's bed time , or as/when needed
He's very playful but doesnt understand he weighs 24kg and can't be held like a baby !
He doesn't like long walks at all .. 20 minutes at a time is more than enough
He doesnt like car journeys too much they stress him out
He loves his cuddly toys and a good nose scratch and has a clean bill of health.
Hes recently been castrated. A decision we made to avoid a home that may have only wanted to use him to stud !!
He lives with 3 children aged 5-16 and is soft as anything with them , plays well with other dogs and also loves our cats although he does like to pin them down on occasion and again weighing 24kg isnt ideal for the kitty unless they play back like ours do
He comes from a brilliant blood line , is Micro chipped, up to date with vaccinations and has a diet of royal canin dry food , mixed with a raw meat diet to ensure he stays in good health and weight range
He'll want to follow you everywhere you go ( yes even to the toilet if you allow it ) 😆
The non - negotiables
We will want to do a home check , to ensure a clean loving household for him , and would like to know your home dynamics to ensure it will work for Gerald.
Meeting him before officially taking him is a must to make sure his excited temperament is right for you, and that he takes to you aswell .
He is the main priority here and we're willing to keep him with us until the right family come along , he will not just go to anyone , anywhere .
