Description
We are looking for a new forever home for our beautiful boy snoop who is 1.3YR old and has now been neutered. This is still a heartbreaking decision but is for his best interest due to me and my partner both being chronically sick and one of us has having unexpected surgery upcoming with long recovery time.
He is amazing with other dogs as he has grown up around other dogs via family members and his step brother tyke who is a staffy and as of which my father got at the same time and not to forget his other brother who is an outdoor/indoor cat called bowie!.
He is brilliant at being handled for health checks, teeth cleaning,
grooming including hair clippers and nail clipping. He has been used to sleeping in a crate since pup but also free roaming out in the hall/ kitchen and access to his den when we are out, he enjoys shredding cardboard and paper for sensory needs, he likes to carry an object in his mouth when he is excited, and enjoys nibbling his cheese sticks or wood sticks especially if it can be on your lap like a big baby.
He has been going camping, sea/river swimming, long hikes and adventures as well as overnight camping and fishing since 8 weeks old. He sleeps through the night in his crate even when we are on the road or we are in a field, he sleeps next to our tent in his crate, he is used to being tethered and living on the go, car travel is no problem and he loves to feel the wind is his hair and chops, hes a true adventurous Pup!.
He loves a cuddle, is a very affectionate boy, he is cheeky and barks when playing but a overall brilliant loving boy. He has been trained which we can go into but He will require further training as he is only 1 as he grows.
He is fully house trained, will go in his crate at night till you are ready to get him up in the morning he has been raised to be flexible with changing routines so is not fixated on food times etc.
He would suit an active family, a home with a secure garden, a family committed to continuing his training and helping him reach his full growth and potential.
We would like to see photos/video of your home before hand and a meet or 2 to ensure the right fit for both him and you.
Training:
More foundational training , working on recall, he is 90% very good but does like to push boundaries, to be expected as being a teenager. he knows commands like sit, wait, paw, laydown etc and will wait at the curbside when crossing the road.
solo walks he is perfect, group walks
he likes to lead the pack, but does restrain when told.
Is toilet trained and will cry when wants to go out.
Food:
he is on dry and wet food mixed, routinely in the morning and evening, and will wait for permission to start eating.
Exercise:
Generally walked 2 x a day and always active, he goes everywhere with us even if it means waiting in the car whilst shopping.
He has no separation anxiety and is very relaxed, we do at times leave him to roam in the hallway/kitchen with access to his den.
His needs:
He needs a household that is fully healthy and committed to him, being out and about all the time, that will include him on there adventures, and has lots of love and affectionate to give. he always love to relax and will potter outside our front garden, people watching all day saying hello to passers by.
Overall:
To the family or persons rehoming snoop you will have a fully loyal and affectionate companion for life. 100%.Like any dog at times he will push boundaries, but he is almost faultless we have done all the hard work for you, he requires just further reinforcement training.
