Description
Meet kilo!
Lovely American bulldog. 4 years old. Great with cats and children.
He's nature is a typical American bulldog so he's very jumpy, playful and friendly! He requires a lot of exercise either off lead in a secure area such as private garden or on lead walks at least twice a day.
He's a big cuddly bear who will happily climb and sit on your lap all day as he doesn't understand he's size. He's used to being tickled to sleep so he's a big baby.
He can be left alone for short periods but pines after a while. This may be different if he's exercised properly as unfortunately I'm unable to do this due to my disability. He was my mothers dog who sadly passed.
He would need to be rehomed with no other dogs as he's very reactive and hasn't been socialised outside for a while.
Because of unsocialisation he needs retraining and perseverance. He’s handler would need to be strong as he’s very powerful and can sometimes lunge towards other dogs, this is because he doesn’t understand how to respond to dogs passing by so he will bark until distracted. Fully housetrained. Has been around cats and children. He can get very excitable and loves to play so ideally children need to be older to avoid accidents such as knocking over. He has no unlined health issues.
Any potential owners would need lots of introductions and plenty of contact after taking him on.
As he’s for adoption not sale we’re asking in return to provide proof of suitable house environment and take him on as a trial to make sure it’s a good fit and if not return him to us.
Due to current circumstances with xl bulldogs want to make sure he’s never mistaken for one as he’s American bulldog which is a completely different breed.
He’s such a lovely dog and we’re heartbroken to have to rehome him which is why we want to ensure he goes to a loving and suitable home.
