CRESTED GECKO

This is Vermillion named after the deep gorgeous red colour he shows, fired up.
He was born in 2023, and has just come into he’s first breeding year. I have paired him a couple months ago and just received two beautiful eggs from the female I paired to him. So he has proven performance 😆❤️.
He does have a dalmation spot so he is carrying the dalmation gene 🧬 please don’t let this deter you. ☺️ He has a a vibrant red and has a bright red throat as well which really pops. Great for red lily whites and other red phantoms.
EATING

-He is eating Pangea: fig with insects and apricot on rotation.
-He will hunt crickets left in enclosure but alternatively will eat fresh killed crickets left in a bowl. 🤍
-At the moment will not accept tweezer fed unless the head is off the cricket, the smell initiates a feeding response.
TEMPERAMENT/WEIGHING

-He’s very fast when inside he’s enclosure, once he’s out he will and can jump and can tolerate handling. I weigh him by putting him into a tub with air holes, press tare on scales with the tub and then place tub with gecko inside that will give you he’s weight. He sits about 30-40grams, he is very long and slender in he’s build. Do not recommend breeding him until he’s 40-44grams as he tends to go off eating food after pairing.
- Used to /desensitised loud noises such as hoover, music and TV so dropping tail should be low as this is an action from extreme stress. Please make sure to give him a week in he’s enclosure before handling :> or loud noises around he’s enclosure (hoovering)
