It's with a very heavy heart, I have decided to part with Snowy, who is my 11 year old male Umbrella Cockatoo. Sadly, I don't have enough time to give him the attention he deserves. He says 'Hello Snowy', 'What You Doing' and is very clever also hilarious. He says Hello? if someone knocks on the door and he can actually unscrew nuts. He loves tickles and cuddles (providing you don't rush to stroke him, as he gets startled easily, so approach with your hand normally)1
Snowy's previous owners were a family who had kids and a smaller bird, so he was fine with them. He loves watching Animal programmes and also make sure he is in full view of a window, as he loves to watch what's happening outside.
I paid £1800 for him 4 years ago, and I'm also giving you his £300 cage. If you don't want it, then I'll throw it out (It was purchased last year). The 2 wooden perches at the top of the cage are missing because Snowy chewed them off, But you can buy replacement perches from Hobbycraft. and some of the toys are now missing inside of the cage since the photo was taken last year. He spends 80% of his time outside of his cage, but obviously put him in his cage if he is on is own in the house. As long as he can see out of the window, then he is happy.
He loves Coffee Lids, and chewing wood, paper (especially Uber / Deliveroo Paper Bags, which he loves to go inside them and scratch around or eventually chew them). He also loves playing / ringing bells and balls with bells (I will supply his favourite bell ball) Also loves chewing wooden toys. He sometimes lets you clip his nails, if you are not brave enough then take him to the vets to get it done.
Any questions, just ask. Sooner the better regarding selling Snowy, as this is a very difficult sale for me. I won't let him go to just anyone, so experienced Parrot owners only, or have at least owned a Parrot or Cockatoo before. (No breeders)
