Description

❤️🐶 NAYA – A Playful, Affectionate Girl Seeking Her Perfect Match 🐶❤️ 🏠 LOOKING FOR FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME 🏠 🇬🇧 Kent, ME20 🌟 RBU, post-adoption support, and 4 weeks free PetPlan insurance provided upon adoption 🐶 NAYA is a small-sized 3-year-old girl with a stunning merle coat Dachshund (or cross) and big personality. Originally rescued from Ukraine, she has been 4 weeks in the UK with a foster-to-adopt family, but sadly it wasn’t the right match. Naya is too energetic, easy excitable outside and playful for a family. 🌟 Highlights 🔹 SIZE: Small (34 cm shoulder height / 8.5 kg) 🔹 SPAYED/NEUTERED: Yes 🔹 CHARACTER HIGHLIGHTS: Affectionate, playful, clever, excitable 🔹 DOGS: Good with playful, friendly dogs 🔹 CATS: lived with cats in Ukraine, but barks on cats outside 🔹 CHILDREN: Best suited to older, dog-savvy children (13+) 💔 Rescue Story 🐶 NAYA is one of many dogs left heartbroken after the tragic passing of a dedicated Ukrainian volunteer who ran a home-based shelter. She was a single woman who devoted her life to rescuing dogs in need. NAYA’s own journey began when she was found wandering the streets in the freezing cold of November, shivering in the snow. Despite efforts to locate her previous owners, no one ever came forward. It was clear that she had once been a beloved pet, and now she arrived in UK with a hope for a second chance to be part of a loving family again. 🐾 More About Naya Naya’s current family says: “Naya is a very sweet girl who is very affectionate. She enjoys cuddling up next to you on the sofa.” 🐶 Naya is fully house-trained and lets you know when she needs to go outside. She’s food-motivated and loves to be near the kitchen during mealtimes—“hopeful for any accidently dropped crumbs!” 🐶 Naya gets along well with the resident dog and would thrive with a friendly, lively playful canine companion. “They can often be found curled asleep together,” her foster notes. 🐶 Naya enjoys her walks and racing around the garden. However, she can get reactive on a lead—barking at people, dogs, and bikes—and would prefer to walk in calm, quiet areas. “She doesn’t like noisy traffic or bicycles. She gets overly excited before walks and tends to bark and pull.” We believe her reactivity is excitement-based—she wants to reach everyone she sees and gets frustrated when she can’t. With the right enrichment, consistent training, and decent physical and mental outlets, her behaviours will be improved after a few week settlement and catching on a routine. We are happy to provide guidance, including materials on distraction techniques and using puzzle feeders (slow-feeder with labyrinth) to slow her down and keep her mentally stimulated. Her ideal home would be an active one, with adults or confident older kids who understand how to set gentle boundaries.. She’s best matched with another friendly, similarly playful small-to-medium dog—or she’ll do well as an only dog, as long as she gets plenty of stimulation and socialisation. While she’s a lovely companion, she can become mouthy during overexcitement and needs kind, consistent boundaries to help her settle. She’s not a match for a calm household or for people who just want a quiet, low-key pup—but for the right person, she’ll be the most delightful partner to share joy inside and walks outside. 🏡 Ideal Home She needs a calm environment but active lifestyle, ideally in a rural or semi-rural environment with quiet, house with a garden, ideally on safe areas to walk on a long line or secure field. 🐶 NAYA needs a home with time and energy to devote to her, ideally with another fun-loving dog or access to regular doggie playmates. She’s perfect for adults or families with dog-savvy teenagers who can help her channel her excitement in the right way. If you’re looking for a cheerful, loving, spirited dog who’ll make every day a little brighter—NAYA is ready to bring her light into your life. 🐶 NAYA is affectionate, smart, and full of joy. For the right family who appreciates her quirks and is ready to help her flourish, she’ll be a loving, entertaining, and loyal best friend. Let’s give this sweet girl the forever home she’s been waiting for. 🩺 Health Information NAYA is fully healthy. Spayed. Has all core vaccines done, microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before the trip (owners will receive a licensed laboratory test certificate). 💌 If you can offer foster or foster-to-adopt, please fill out a form: 🔗 Foster-to-Adopt/Adoption Form : https://forms.gle/vHdDRdjFzXngqzUC9 🔗 Foster Form: https://forms.gle/yE66hpgwdU9bnQsAA 📩 If you've filled out a form before, simply comment/send message us on WhatsApp: https://wa.me/447932590993 to register your interest!
