Description
With a heavy heart, I’m considering rehoming my Ragdoll kitten, Juno.
This is not a decision I’m making lightly — it’s been incredibly emotional for me, and I’ve gone back and forth for weeks. I absolutely adore him. But I feel like I’ve run out of options, and I’m starting to believe he may be better suited to a more experienced or specialised home.
There is no rush to “re home him.” I will only let him go to the right person — someone who truly understands what he needs and has the capacity to give it. I’m also still trying one last structured reset at home to see if things can improve — but I want to be realistic and begin exploring all possibilities now.
About him:
💙 Male Ragdoll kitten
📅 Born 02/12/24
✅ Vaccinated
🐾 Affectionate, curious, purrs loudly, loves belly rubs
🐈⬛ Very bonded to our other cat, follows her around and grooms her. Super sociably, and loves our chihuahua Lola. Lots of confidence.
🚫 Not aggressive, not fearful — just a bit wild and unpredictable.
The challenges:
He’s had persistent digestive issues since day one, when we picked him up he had an accident when the breeder picked him up — originally diagnosed as suspected giardia, but even after treatment his stools are consistently loose. He’s had periods of using the litter tray properly (he has two), but often regresses and has accidents on floors, clothes, and stairs. I’ve spent a small fortune on food, litter, vet care, and cleaners — and I just can’t financially keep up anymore.
He’s also quite destructive: he climbs where he shouldn’t ( as cats do, ) knocks things over, and is very high energy — he’s a handful, to say the least.
This isn’t an “easy” kitten, but he’s also not a lost cause. I truly believe that with the right structure, space (ideally no carpets), and someone with more experience, someone who has cats, as he’s very social ( & funds for specialist vet care), he could thrive.
If you feel you might be the right home, or know someone who could offer what he needs, please feel free to message me.
I’m happy to be completely open and honest. Again, this is very painful and I’ll only consider serious, loving homes.
Thank you for reading. 💙
** I paid £600 for him originally and have since spent well over that on his cars. So I’m asking £300 to ensure he goes to a serious and committed home. This isn’t about profit — it’s about making sure he lands somewhere that understands the responsibility. I’m happy to talk more with the right persons **
