Description
Kiki is a five-year old adult female domestic short-haired cat, with a tortoiseshell fur. She is petite and adorable. We have had her since she was 4 weeks old and it's been terrific - however since then we've had a son, and it has now turned out that he's got a cat allergy. As a result, we now have to find loving forever homes for our two cats (including Kiki). After so long together, it is devastating, but we know it's in the best interest for everyone - including Kiki, who needs a home where she can move around freely and get all the attention she can! A bit about her: she's very friendly, docile and chilled by nature. She grew up with her sister Koko (who we have found a home for), two labradors and 4 children (3 of them my step kids who aren't allergic). She loves the outdoors and indoors equally and is happy spending the day exploring the neighbourhood (sometimes going on a walk with us and the dog!) or curled up on the sofa in a spot of sunlight. We have moved once since we had her and she is very adaptable to new environments, also very independent. She doesn't need worrying over and will happily come and goes as she pleases. Health: she is generally healthy, all her vaccinations are up to date, and she's on regular flea treatments. She's only ever had one health problem a few years ago, which is that she somehow fractured the base of her tail (subluxation fracture of the L5 vertebra). This was not a severe injury and hasn't resulted in any functional deficits, the only effect being that she doesn't lift her tail high in the air and she has no sensation in the tip. The vets are happy there is no need for surgery, so the only thing we look out or is that she doesn't trap her tail in anything. For instance, we haven't installed a cat flap when we moved to our new house and instead let her in and out through the door. We will be microchipping both cats in May to comply with new regulations. We are also able to provide a full health history from our vet's. Kiki is a sweetheart and we know someone out there will love her as much as we do. We want someone who is a genuine cat-lover, and will take the best care of her. We also kindly ask for no time wasters, as this will make it even more emotionally difficult for us. We are happy to have interested people come and meet her, we'll just need to know at least a day in advance so we can make sure she's in! For enquiries, call or text Ksenia.
