Pumpkin and latte are a bonded pair of gerbils (brothers) who have been together since birth
They are, and have always been very friendly
They can be skittish around new people and in new environments but have never bitten, just cower back
They are great with kids and will put up with loud noises and little hands well
They were once in a group of 4 but they didn't get on so were split into pairs a few months ago
This was the biggest cage they had at pets at home at the time, but it's a downgrade from their original cage
They currently eat 'little one' food and I will include a full, sealed bag of this with them, alongside some treats, a wheel, hides ect and accessories
The cage itself was £104 and the money goes towards the upkeep of our other gerbils
It's a tough decision rehoming this lovely pair but due to personal circumstances, unfortunately it's our only option. Bedding wise they have always had Carefresh and chipsi (cheap but safe option) and often auboise (hemp bedding) too. Again, I will provide new owners with some upon collection
It's a large cage and will to be in the boot of a car or van (likely needing back seats down in a car) or, can deliver locally for free or for a fee if within reasonable distance
I wouldn't consider them difficult to care for, they need fresh food and water daily, as some love and attention.
I clean them out once a month with spot cleans every couple of days
They typically only poo and wee on their top shelf which is easy to clean
They have chewed some parts of the plastic shelves however I know they can be replaced
I would love them to go to a home that wouldn't mind sending pictures every now and then, and I'm always happy to give advice where needed
