Our 1-year-old Dachshund, Bluey, is a sweet, chatty, energetic and playful boy who is looking for a calm and patient home with people who have the time and love to give him the attention he deserves. Bluey is a loving, funny and affectionate dog with a big personality. He loves playing, exploring, cuddles and spending time with people. He is very good with children and enjoys being part of the family. He is a loyal companion who forms a very strong bond once he trusts you and gives lots of love in return. Bluey does not get along well with cats, so a cat-free home would be best for him. He can be vocal and does bark, especially when he is anxious or excited, but he is not aggressive and has a very sweet and gentle personality. Bluey does struggle with being left alone and can become anxious, crying and howling when separated from his family. Because of this, he would be best suited to a home where someone is around most of the time or where his new family is willing to continue working with him gently and patiently. This is a very difficult decision for us because we love Bluey and we are very sad to say goodbye.
