We’re sadly looking to rehome our gorgeous black and tan Dachshund. She has the most loving temperament and adores adults, children, and even babies. She’s truly a lapdog at heart — she’ll want to snuggle with you at every opportunity and thrives on affection and attention.
She originally came to our family as a rescue after being found in a home where she was sadly neglected and starved. Because of this, she can have a few quirks, but with patience and love, she’s an absolute sweetheart.
💛 About her:
• Unsure of her exact age due to her rescue background
• Very affectionate, loyal, and gentle once she trusts you
• Good with dogs (big and small), cats, kittens, and even our ducks in the garden
• Fantastic with children and babies
• House training: Mostly clean as long as she’s let out regularly
• Food: Can be a little food-obsessed due to her past — she may pinch food if left within reach and needs reminding to take treats gently
• Recall: Has none at the moment, so she’ll need to stay on a lead until trained
We inherited her a month ago after a family bereavement, but we’ve just had a new baby (two weeks ago) and have our own pets to care for and sadly don’t have the time to give her the love and attention she truly deserves.
She would be best suited to a home where she’s not left alone for long periods and can get all the cuddles she craves.
