Description

This gorgeous little boy came into my care 6 months ago when his owner died, I cared for his owner throughout the end of her life. The family wouldn't take him and they were going to put him to sleep, however I could see he had so much potential, he'd been as faithful as they come to his owner for years and years whilst she was battling cancer. In the 6 months he has been with me he has become a confident, loving, funny little man, I have 3 dogs already and he has slotted in lovely, accepting them around him, even though he does grumble at them when they try to play with him so we call him grumpy old man. But when we take him to the paddock he's the fastest dog of the pack! But when he's on the lead he's a good boy. We breed miniature longhaired dachshunds and are due to have a litter which i dont think would suit him having pups pulling him about at his age! the plan was always to find him his forever loving home, he's got so much life in him. It's forced me to put a minimum amount on him. But all I want is for him to have a home that he can spend most of his day with his owner. He is untested with children, I'm sure respectful children (say if you had grandchildren) would be fine. He had got death breath! I dont think anyone has ever had his teeth looked at. He always appeared more scared of the male nurses than female nurses that used to come to the property, he's more of a womens dog. He has always lived with a cat so I know he's fine with cats, dogs as long as they are respectful of his space would be fine. Please get in touch if you have any further questions. I would want him to go to someone that would keep in touch so that I can be updated. I've had a few messages of offers for foster homes or rescues, thank you but this isn't required. If Ted doesn't find his perfect home he will stay with me, I don't want to uproot him once and then again. Thank you
