Description

I’m really sad to be putting my childhood cat, Ella, up for adoption. She is very loving with her primary caregiver, but can be a bit sassy with others (pawing as they walk past, hissing, etc). She’s very curious about the outside world as she is an indoor cat, but has spent a lot of time roaming outside on the balcony as pictured. There is only one reason I cannot keep her anymore, and it is because she pees on the sofas at least once a week, despite having 2 clean litter boxes. The home I think she will thrive in, is one where she is the only pet. Granted, I have a dog at home which she gets on with, but the peeing has been an issue since she was a young kitten (she was spayed early on at the SSPCA if I remember correctly). An enclosed garden or balcony is essential for her, and the new owner has to be extremely patient with her adjusting to a new environment and new people. My mum had tried putting her up for adoption a couple months ago, but those owners gave up 2 weeks in because she scratched them - I don’t want a repeat of this heartbreak and stress she is under, and so I emphasise again, her new owner has to be okay with a longer than usual settling in period, and understand peeing on furniture is highly likely. If this sounds like you, please do not hesitate to reach out and ask some further questions, I’ll be happy to answer.
