I’m a small registered cattery, I have just a couple of queens, I bought our beautiful boy at the start of the year so we could expand our cattery and have our own stud. However now we have him I’ve decided having our own stud isn’t for me. Being a stud can be a lonely life as we can’t leave him alone with our intact queens in the case of unwanted early pregnancies. He is a very sociable loving boy and I don’t want that life for him. For this reason I have made the difficult decision to see if I can find him a home that has a neutered mainecoon a similar age so he has a life long friend. He is booked in to be neutered on 24th September so can leave to only the right the right home after 8th October. I’m in no rush to rehome him and will happily keep him as once neutered he can mix with my queens safely, however with them coming into heat every couple of weeks they won’t provide the very best company for him. This is why I’m only looking for a home that is looking for a friend for their male mainecoon with similar high energy personalities to provide both cats with a companion.
