Description

I am looking at selling my beautiful pup due to change in circumstances at home. Unfortunately my husband is now working away and my work hours are due to change which means peanut will be bored and lonely. He is pushing the boundaries as expected at 6 months old. Barks like most Dachshunds and he is almost finished teething. He gets on with most dogs and also my son’s Maine coone. He sleeps in his crate for 7-8 hours each night. He likes soothing music whilst going for naps and bedtime. He will lick your face all day. He’s not a fan of small children so far but in training. He uses a clicker and treats for training. He knows several commands. Peanut has been chipped and had vaccines and I have monthly flea treatments and 3 Monthly worming treatments. He comes with a lot of things, car seat, toys, bed, crate, clicker, food, bowls, harness and lead etc. This is a very reluctant sale as I have fell in love with him but I am unable to give him what he needs. I live in a large flat but as he barks I do not want my neighbours complaining when I am not home. He is toilet trained and will go for a wee after waking. He has breakfast dry and wet in his slow feeder then after 20-30 minutes he likes to go for a walk. He’ll come back and play for a while and have a nap about 2-3 hours after waking. He settles at night really well. He can be seen and I’m happy for someone to build up a relationship with him first. Ideally he needs a calm environment and loves attention. He enjoys the beach he wood walks for about 30-40 minutes

Cons

Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
