Description
Rescued from a kill shelter, this gentle boy never lost his joy.
He smiles at life, at people, at love — waiting patiently for his forever heart to find him.
Could that be you? 💫
His story:
Sweet Cody was rescued from a public shelter/kill station, where he had no chance of survival. Thanks to people with big hearts, he was saved just in time and now lives safely in a private shelter.
But even there, you can feel it immediately – Cody doesn’t belong among barking and concrete.
He belongs close to people – near a warm heart, in a home where he can finally experience what it means to be wanted and loved. 💛

Looks & mix
With his soft fawn coat, dark mask and kind eyes, Cody looks like a smaller Boxer mixed with a Jack Russell – a beautiful blend of warmth, agility and charm.
He has a lean, balanced build and that open, trusting expression that instantly touches you.
A wonderful mix of gentle energy and genuine sweetness.
Character
Cody is a tender-hearted, sensitive soul with an incredibly sweet nature.
He loves gentle human contact, enjoys affection and has a warm, loyal heart.
He’s social with other dogs and lives peacefully among them.
He’s not a dominant or pushy dog – rather calm, thoughtful, and observant of his surroundings.
At first, he might hang back a little, quietly watching. But once he feels safe, he blossoms – approaching softly, looking for cuddles and connection.
Cody senses kind people immediately and responds beautifully to calm voices and gentle hands.
He’s intelligent, learns quickly and genuinely wants to please.
In a loving home, his confidence will unfold day by day, revealing the affectionate, devoted friend he truly is.
Ideal home
Cody would thrive in a peaceful, loving home with people who understand gentle souls.
A secure, man-height fenced garden is essential – he loves spending time outside, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.
There, his adopters can gently help him practise walking with a safety harness and lead, working together at his pace and building trust step by step.
Once they’ve found that rhythm together, Cody will love sharing quiet walks and moments of companionship with his person.
Cody isn’t a dog who could be left alone all day.
He would be deeply unhappy if left for long hours on his own.
He needs human presence and connection – people who are home often, work part-time or from home, or can arrange trusted company for him.
He doesn’t need constant activity, but he truly needs to belong.
Whoever opens their heart to him will gain a dog whose loyal eyes and soft heart will melt theirs, day after day. 💛
📩 CONTACT
Friends InDeed Animal Rescue is a registered charity.
A home check (sometimes online) is required before any adoption.
We do not place dogs with people who don’t genuinely love them – too many lives depend on us, and we can’t take risks.
To adopt CODY, you must have your own secure garden and no children under 10 years old.
We do not provide working, therapy or assistance dogs – however noble the purpose may be.
If you adopt Cody, he will live as a loved family companion, cared for and cherished as he truly deserves.
You also agree to stay in touch so we can support you and receive updates.
We prefer communication via phone or WhatsApp, as we both work during the day with limited email access – it’s faster and more personal.
If you wish, we can arrange a video call so you can see Cody live before meeting him in person.
We are a 100% genuine and transparent rescue, fully dedicated to saving lives.
We’re also active in sterilisation campaigns for stray dogs and always do our best to cover as much as we can – though adoption donations rarely meet our full costs.
We stay in contact with all our adopters – now over 500 families – and can provide excellent references on request.
⚠️ Please note: we receive many irrelevant messages and calls.
Kindly, no time wasters. Thank you for your compassion and understanding.
With gratitude,
Adrian & Maria
