When volunteers searched an abandoned building deep in the forest, hoping to rescue an older dog noticed not far, they found Rufik instead โ a starving puppy, so hungry that he had been eating stones. His body was weak, but his will to live was strong. That day changed his life forever, and now heโs waiting for the chance to change yours too.

Rufik is clever, affectionate and full of quirks that will make you smile. He adores cuddles and will happily spend hours perched on your lap. He maybe little shy in a new home on arrival, but warm up very quickly. He loves toys, balls, even slippers โ but not to chew, only to โcollectโ and hide under his bed with pride. With people, he is friendly, trusting and adores attention. With dogs and cats, heโs playful and social, though he sometimes gets a little bossy with males. His perfect match in play is his foster friend Nikki (German Shephard), showing he thrives with the right companion. Rufik also learns commands quickly, walks well on the lead, and behaves beautifully in the home.
๐ก Ideal Family ๐ก
Rufik will flourish in an active, loving home where he isnโt left alone. He used to live in a house with a garden and it will be essential for him. Heโd be good with a gentle resident dog (ideally bigger size female) or even with cats, as he loves animal company โ but he needs humans who wonโt let him feel left out. Older, 7+children would be a joy for him to play with.
๐ Rufik has already proven himself to be a true survivor, turning despair into hope. Now he dreams of a family to love, cuddle, and make laugh with his funny little habits. If youโre looking for a loyal friend who will climb into your lap and into your heart, Rufik is waiting.

Rufik is fully healthy. Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (owners will receive a licensed laboratory test certificate).
