Description

We're looking for a kind and patient new home for this stunning Lacewing Indian Ringneck Parakeet, approximately 1 year and 7 months old. She comes with her large, comfortable cage - a vital part of her ongoing progress. This girl has been on a remarkable rehabilitation journey after being rescued from poor conditions, where she was kept in a small cage with just apples as her one food source. When she arrived, she was terrified of humans and in poor health due to a poor diet and brittle beak. Since then, she has flourished under care and is now in excellent condition, enjoying a high-quality diet and a calmer environment. Her cage is her safe space - it played a crucial role in her recovery, and for this reason, she must be rehomed with it. When she first arrived, she would panic if anyone came near. Now, she will sit calmly on her open door while you chat beside her. She's not yet hand-tame, but she grows more confident every day. She has been living in a quiet home, but due to long working hours, we're unable to continue giving her the time she deserves. She's now ready to progress further with someone who can be patient and consistent. A home with another Ringneck may also help her feel more secure. This bird is not suitable for a busy or noisy setting - she needs a peaceful environment and someone who will respect her boundaries and understand her history. A bright future: She's currently showing some nesting behaviours, such as arranging materials and spending time in quiet corners of her cage, which suggests she's feeling safe and content in her environment. While breeding is not guaranteed and should not be forced, with the right male Ringneck companion, she may be able to pair up successfully in the future. You're very welcome to visit her and see how she interacts. Local ******************y is available in Hull and nearby areas. Please message us if you're genuinely interested and prepared to give her the loving, patient home she deserves.
