This is a very hard decision for us, but we’re looking to find a new loving home for our dog, Albie.
Albie is a wonderful, affectionate boy who loves being around people and other dogs. Unfortunately, since both of us are now working full-time and have recently had a baby, we’re struggling to give him the time and care he needs and deserves.
Since moving away from my parents’ home (where he lived happily with their dogs), Albie has found it stressful being left alone for long periods. He would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time. He is very happy with children and other dogs but we think the right home would be someone either with older children so time could be properly spent with Albie and keeping up his skincare/ bathing regularly.
Albie also has a skin condition that needs regular care and bathing. We’ve managed this under veterinary advice, but with our current situation, we can’t keep up with the routine he requires.
Albie had successful BOAS surgery in 2022 where he is now a happy and healthy dog apart from his skin condition.
He truly is a loving, loyal companion who will make a wonderful addition to the right home — ideally with someone who can spend plenty of time with him and continue his skincare routine.
We only want what’s best for Albie, so we’ll be asking some questions to make sure he goes to the right family.
