Description
This is Jack. He’s a stunning 1 year and 9-month-old male Pomsky with piercing blue eyes and a huge heart. My partner has had him since he was a pup, and he's been deeply loved by him every single day of his life. Making the decision to rehome Jack has been incredibly difficult, but we are doing it because we want the best for him – and he needs more than we can currently give.
Jack is full of life and loves nothing more than sprinting along the beach, splashing in the sea, chasing his ball, and getting plenty of attention. He’s clever, energetic, and adores cheese – it's his ultimate treat. He loves a good chat and will converse with you which is very funny.
He is crate trained, house trained, and currently living with teenagers, who he enjoys playing with. He also lives with a cat, though they don’t get along, a cat free home is probably preferable. He hasn't been neutered yet – we were advised to wait until the 2-year mark.
We’re rehoming Jack because our lifestyle has changed dramatically. My partner has recently started a building business, and although Jack goes to work with him, he clearly isn’t happy – often hiding in the morning to avoid going.
He is very loving when he knows and trusts you but he does need an experienced owner, who is willing to train him or pay for a trainer. We just want to do right by him and know we aren't the home to give him what he deserves.
Jack does have resource guarding issues, and struggles with being touched suddenly without warning. He does need a muzzle for the vets, but I have muzzle trained him. His recall works for my partner but not for me, therefore I do not have him off the lead, but my partner can.
We wanted to do right by him and hire a behaviourist/trainer but we simply cannot afford it. We also have just discovered we are expecting a baby and this will mean he will receive even less attention than he deserves.
He’s affectionate, loyal, and incredibly loving once he knows and trusts you. He’s not just a dog – he’s a companion, and with the right person, he will give his whole heart.
Jack is up to date on all vaccinations, flea and worming treatments. He’s even stayed in kennels before with no issues. We will provide his crate, over a month's worth of food, enrichment toys, beds, a harness, and various length leads – everything you need to help him settle.
We are based in the Portsmouth/Southampton area and would love for you to come and meet him to see if you're the right fit for each other.
Please, only reach out if you genuinely have the time, experience, and commitment to give this boy the life he truly deserves.
