Teddy is a beautiful, affectionate boy who just wants to be close to his person. He’s an absolute joy to walk, enjoys the company of other dogs, travels well in the car, and sleeps quietly through the night in his crate.
But what really sets Teddy apart is his incredibly gentle and cuddly nature — he’s a real lap dog in spirit and adores human affection.
Sadly, Teddy’s past hasn’t been kind. He was found abandoned in a Romanian forest with a badly damaged eye, which had to be removed. While he’s adapted wonderfully and it doesn’t affect his daily life, he can be anxious around some men — likely due to past abuse.
Teddy would thrive in a calm, stable home with someone around most of the time. We believe he’d be happiest with a retired lady or a quiet household looking for a loyal, loving companion. He struggles being left alone for long periods, so a home where he isn’t left often is important.
He may enjoy the company of another calm dog but would also be content as the only dog, as long as he gets plenty of love and companionship.
Teddy is a unique mix — with a retriever-like head, the coat of a rough collie, and short corgi legs — and his personality is just as special.
