Meet Roscoe, a gentle, cheeky soul looking for a Loving Home! 🐶💙
Sadly Roscoe's owner has passed away, he finds himself back in our care looking for his forever home.
Roscoe is a sweet and lovable dog who’s ready to find a caring home where he can enjoy life at his own pace. He’s a gentle soul who thrives with calm, consistent companionship — and once he gets to know you, he’s affectionate, relaxed, and happy to soak up a good fuss!
Roscoe loves his walks and benefits from getting out twice a day. He’s comfortable going off-lead in safe areas and enjoys exploring the world around him. He’s also well-behaved in the home, eats dry food happily, and has settled nicely into a steady daily routine.
Though Roscoe can be a little timid at first, especially around new people, he warms up beautifully with gentle patience — and once he does, you’ll find he has a lovely, calm temperament. He’s been perfectly well-mannered with those he’s met recently, even those he doesn’t know well, and has been happy to enjoy affection and attention.
Roscoe is also used to being home alone for part of the day (with his companion Callie) during typical work or school hours, and he copes well with that routine.
He’s shown himself to be great with children, and we have no concerns about him joining a family with kids. He’s a bit of a cheeky character too — known to sneak a snack from the kitchen counter if food is left too close to the edge! It’s all part of his charm and reminds you he’s got a playful streak under that shy exterior.
Roscoe is friendly with other dogs, though can be a bit cautious at first around unfamiliar people. At home, he may give a little bark when someone comes through the door — more out of alertness than aggression, then settle down quickly once he know’s everything’s okay.
Roscoe would be a wonderful companion for a calm household that can offer him time to settle, regular walks, and a bit of patience as he continues to build his confidence. In return, he’ll give you quiet loyalty, gentle affection, and a few laughs along the way.
How did he originally end up in our care? His mother was caught on the streets of Serbia for neutering by the local pound, the following day after being caught she had given birth to puppies in her kennel, he was one of those puppies.
He is neutered, clean in the home and micro-chipped.
