Description
We are looking for a kind experienced horsey home for Alaska, a lovely, sweet & easy to handle 5 year old nice looking, all up to date, dapple grey Welsh A, non-ridden companion mare and her fit & healthy, handsome, up to date, young show colt foal called Pluto (or Puter as my autistic son calls him.)
Person must be able & willing to keep them together till he is six months & weaned. They can then separate them, geld him & keep him or find him a good home.
Alaska is so good natured, peaceful, sweet & easy for even kids to catch, walk & handle but due to disabilities will not ever be able to be ridden but would be excellent as an easy companions that don't mind when other pony leaves, as a pet for an autistic child/teen, a petting zoo, SEN school, community project or as a therapy pony project.
She is microchipped, passported, been through isolation with no sign of sickness, vaccinated 1st & 2nd Flue & tetanus, wormed regularly, had feet trimmed every six weeks & teeth checked, rasped & wolf teeth extracted.
Vet & dentist love her.
Used to kids & autistic teen.
Can live in or out in mixed herd.
Pluto is a real chunky, happy, active lad with lovely colours & movements.
Would be excellent for showing, future kids lead rein, first, second ridden &/or Pony Club.
However, although he comes right up & is fine to slip head collar on & even sleep right next to my autistic teenage son he is very much a fit & active (and at times cheeky colt) so will need him to initially go to some confident & experienced who can train him & will ensure he gets gelded.
He is defo not a rig. A vet has checked and both his testicles have dropped.
No keeping with mares after 6months.
He is microchipped, passported, wormed, had first flue & tetanus vaccination & gets his feet trimmed every six weeks.
Easy to catch & slip head collar on & learning to be walked, brushed, have feet picked/trimmed, etc. but still early days & still got much to learn.
No sign of sickness,
Born at the rescue centre & vets have checked in on him regularly from the day he was born. Used to call for them & come to them till they jabbed him.
Not sure what he will think next time they come! Still very much loves my autistic son. The mare was happy to trust us to check & handle the foal from he was born. He will happily follow us/my son & loves scratches but we do not spoil, give treats or encourage behaviour that would not be cute when fully grown.
Make some one a lovely pony.
Please, note we do not breed horses. Alaska came as a very thin unhandled, pregnant mare after her owners sadly passed away.
Some one will just love her. She has a lot of love & hugs to give.
No dealers, breeders or producers.
Open for viewing & vetting & re-homed when ready. Honest advise given.
Total re-homing fee for both of them is a fixed £900 as seen - no loaning, hackling, payment plans, splitting, tack or person intending to ride her or produce her. She is re-homed as a companion only with the foal at her side.
Must be be experienced, kind, over 18, able to come & kindly view in person, able & willing to afford both and have a suitable place to keep them.
All being well can pay & take on day.
Cheap cost price UK transport can be sorted but not unseen.
Happy to give a quote if we have the post code.
