Description

Unfortunately through no fault of his own we are looking for a forever home for Benji. Benji is an indoor male nurtured rabbit with his life long vaccinations, he is around 3 years old a big healthy boy. I previously adopted him from someone looking to rehome where he was purchased from birth and lived as a lone rabbit indoors with his cage for security at night time and free roaming during the day. My initial hope was to bond him with my 2 lops and integrate him into the garden. But after many failed attempts he won’t accept the bond either my already bonded pair. And I am unfortunately not in a position to get another rabbit to see if he would bond for potentially another failed bonding process and more rabbits than I could handle and have the appropriate space for. I think that Benji would rather to be a lone rabbit as during the process he has been very territorial and caused him alot of stress, where he has lived alone for his life with previous owners he struggles to form a happy bond with both sexes of rabbits but I feel he would continue to thrive in the correct environment alone, and I feel he would like to be outside in his own space as loves having fresh air in a run with tunnels and toys. I don’t think it would be fair for Benji to see my bonded pair running about the garden during the summer and continuing to cause stress for him which just results in aggression as they are unable to share the same environment & territory. Please don’t enquire about him if you plan on getting him for your kids, as rabbits are life long pets and children loose interest in them, unfortunately leaving them to be neglected. previous experience of having rabbits is essential and he will not just be going to anyone until I am certain that the correct home and environment to thrive.
