Description

MUST have experience, ideally 1 working breed female already. Chance is the son of our family dog Caesar, born from an accidental litter between our two dogs. He was originally placed with what we believed was a loving family in Derby. They already had a working breed and a dog trainer in place, so it seemed like a great fit. Unfortunately, they rehomed him without informing us—a heartbreaking breach of trust, especially since we've stayed in touch with all of our pups' families and even become friends with some. Chance then ended up with the abuser on October 10th (as seen on his Facebook) in perfect health. Just two months later, on December 28th, Rhys rehomed him again—for £100, believe it or not. But this wasn’t a rehome; by all accounts, it was a rescue. He had been starved of food and water. He was in a horrendous condition, and that is what we know about. After speaking with the new owner and learning about his serious behavioural issues—extreme fear-based reactivity toward people and dogs, and even becoming a bite risk—we made the decision to bring him home. Why we're sharing this: We want to raise awareness. If you're ever in a tough situation where you have to rehome your dog, please be cautious. People like this exist. Do thorough checks. Follow up. Protect your dog as best you can. About Chance now: Chance is an amazing dog with a huge personality. He’s energetic, a bit eccentric, and absolutely full of character. He’s eager to please and just wants to be loved. He suffers from seperation anxety. Through training and trust-building, he’s overcome his reactivity toward both people and dogs but still requires a capable, experienced owner. He’ll be featured on our page over the coming days so you can get to know the wonderful, goofy soul he is. We’re now searching for his forever home. If you have experience with the breed and a lifestyle suited to an active, high-energy Malinois, please reach out via direct message. Please don't be offended if we reject an application for him—Chance will only go to a home that fully meets our criteria. All potential adopters will be thoroughly vetted, and he will be rehomed under a strict no-rehoming contract. Due to his past experiences, Chance does struggle with mild separation anxiety. However, with patience, consistency, and by following our recommended approach, this can be gradually managed and is likely to improve as he builds trust and confidence in his new environment. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/19DcuerDQK/
