On the 25th Of November we were blessed with 5 perfect F1 Cockapoo puppies. Mother Kc registered chocolate and tan working cocker spaniel I bred myself 5 years ago, this is her first litter of Cockapoo pups. Her mum is now 10 years old and is still in perfect health. They both have lots of field trial champions and winners in their pedigree and are both very intelligent working girls. Father is a show winning kc registered toy poodle.
I work with dogs and have studied them for years, nutrition, diseases, disorders and disabilities are the areas that have always interested me the most. I am a firm believer that the gut flora health of the mother (which her pups inherit) is of uppermost importance especially during pregnancy and while feeding her young. I feed mum a natural grain free diet with added vet formulated kibble which contains essential ingredients to promote a healthy microbiota preventing allergies, arthritis and other diseases forming which are becoming more common in dogs. I don’t use air fresheners or chemical cleaning products to help keep toxins to a minimum.
Being a nice size litter has meant a plentiful supply of milk for the pups leading to them being really healthy, confident, content and putting a nice amount of weight on every day.
From the 20th of January of puppies will start leaving for their new forever homes. We still have a chocolate boy and a few little black girls looking for their new family home. Puppies will be fully vaccinated, microchipped and wormed. They will leave with a puppy pack including a bag of Purina Proplan expert care nutrition puppy food.
