With a very heavy heart we are having to re home our one year old Italian greyhound Sam. He is the sweetest most loving little dog I have ever met. I truly love him and the reason we are having to re home him is not his fault at all. We have four dogs and although Sam gets on with other dogs so well, we have a labrador who is starting to show aggression towards Sam who doesn’t do anything to deserve it other than try to be affectionate. I didn’t think this would ever be a problem as our Labrador has always been friendly towards other dogs male or female but having another male live in his house is proving to be too much for him. They are kept apart most of the time but it is difficult to always have them separated and our Labrador has become very aggressive from inside his cage whenever he sees Sam out. Today our Labrador has snapped and gone for Sam, luckily I was there to stop anything from happening but this has frightened me past the point of thinking maybe we can keep him and we’ll work things out. If anything happened to Sam I would never forgive myself.
Sam has a sensitive stomach but is currently thriving on raw food so I would recommend keeping this up to help him continue to thrive.
