Description

Her story: Maxie is one of four puppies born to our brave rescue mum Misha – but their start in life was far from safe. Misha gave birth inside the public shelter/kill station, an environment no mother and pups should ever face. It’s a harsh, dangerous place, and their survival was uncertain until the little family was rescued just in time and brought to safety. From the very beginning, Maxie showed her strong and confident spirit. She’s now +/- 6 months old – playful, curious, and the most courageous of her siblings. 📏 Expected size: medium (current height can be measured on request) 🏷 Type: based on appearance, Maxie could be a mix of herding-type and whippet-like genes, with a soft beige coat, darker muzzle, and alert, expressive eyes that reveal her lively personality. Looks & charm: Maxie’s warm colouring and confident little face make her stand out immediately. She has the expressive eyes of a thinker and the posture of a pup who’s ready to explore the world. Character: Maxie is the bravest and most outgoing of her litter. She loves to explore and often takes the lead, encouraging her siblings to follow. Despite her curious, adventurous side, she’s also very affectionate and enjoys gentle cuddles and human attention. She gets along beautifully with other dogs – especially with her “stepdad” Kenji, a kind and gentle Shiba-mix who lovingly took care of the family after their rescue. (Kenji himself is also available for adoption) Maxie would really enjoy having another dog to play and interact with — ideally a friendly male dog, or a gentle, non-dominant female. However, this is not essential if her adopters can offer her enough mental stimulation, playtime and companionship themselves. With love, patience and positive experiences, Maxie will grow into a bright, balanced and devoted companion – the perfect blend of confidence and sweetness. Important note for puppy adopters Puppies are adorable, but they also need time, structure and daily involvement. Maxie is still young and will go through her puppy and teenage phases. She’ll need positive guidance, socialisation and consistent training. A family who enjoys being actively involved will help her become a confident, happy adult. Ideal home: Maxie would love an involved, affectionate home where she’s truly part of daily life. A secure garden for play and exploration would be ideal, but most of all she needs people who will give her presence, guidance and love. 🐾 For anyone considering a duo adoption: Maxie’s brothers Morgan and Marley, and her sister Mila, are also available for adoption. For approved duo adoptions, a reduced combined adoption contribution applies (calculated individually upon interest). ✨ Maxie is a brave little explorer with a big heart – confident, curious and full of promise. With the right home, she’ll blossom into a joyful and loyal lifelong friend. 📩 If you’re touched by Maxie’s story and think you could be the one for her, please get in touch. She’s waiting patiently in the shelter, dreaming of her forever home. CONTACT: Friends InDeed is a registered charity organization. A home check (sometimes even online) is required before every adoption. We do not place our dogs with people who do not genuinely love dogs — too many lives depend on us, and we simply cannot be too careful! To adopt one of our dogs, you must have your own private garden and no children under the age of 10. We do not provide working dogs, therapy dogs, or assistance dogs — no matter how noble or well-intentioned the purpose may be. If you adopt MAXIE, she will live with you as a beloved family companion, cared for and cherished as she truly deserves. You also agree to stay in touch with us so we can support you with any questions or challenges that may arise. We prefer to communicate via phone or WhatsApp, as we both work during the day and have limited access to email. It’s also much easier — we can exchange all the necessary information at once. If you like, we can schedule a video call so you can see MAXIE live before meeting her in person. We are a 100% genuine and transparent rescue, fully dedicated to saving lives. We are actively involved in the spaying and neutering of stray dogs and in finding them loving forever homes. We reserve the right to ask for a different adoption fee or donation for our shelter dogs, depending on individual circumstances. In most cases, our costs are not fully covered. We stay in touch with all our adopters — now more than 500 families — and can provide excellent references upon request. ⚠️ Please note: we receive many irrelevant messages and calls. We kindly ask — no time-wasters, please! Thank you sincerely for your understanding and compassion. Warm regards, Adrian & Maria Friends InDeed Animal Rescue
