Description
This is honestly one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to write. With heavy, aching hearts, we’re looking for a very special home for our little Soul, not because we don’t love him, but because we love him too much to risk his safety any longer.
Soul is the tiniest chihuahua you can imagine, under 1kg at 8 months old but he carries himself like he’s 10 times the size. We didn’t breed him; we got him from a breeder, and soon after, brought his mum home too. He’s been part of our family ever since, and we love him deeply. He’s funny, cheeky, clever, loving and incredibly brave for such a tiny thing.
But here’s the truth: our home is just not safe for him.
We have bigger dogs, and while they’re not aggressive, the size difference is terrifying. One wrong step, one playful bounce, one accident and it could be catastrophic. We live with that fear every single day. We’ve been hoping we could make it work, hoping he would grow bigger, constantly supervising, creating space, managing every interaction… but it’s exhausting, and honestly, it’s not fair on him or the rest of the household.
This isn’t a choice we’ve taken lightly. We’ve cried over it, talked about every possibility, and spoken at length with his original breeder. In the end, we know this is about giving Soul what he truly needs: a calm, safe, loving home where he isn’t at risk just by being himself.
✨ About Soul:
8 months old, under 1kg
House-trained and crate-trained
Knows a few basic commands
Full of personality, cuddly, curious, and full of charm
Loves people, including kids (he lives with children now), but we wouldn’t place him with young children due to how incredibly delicate he is
🏡 The Home He Needs:
A home with no large dogs
Ideally with small, gentle, playful dogs who will accept his confident little nature
No cats, he’s playful and fragile, and it’s just too risky
No small children, not because he doesn’t like them (he loves them!) but because one unintentional knock could do real harm
This isn’t us “giving him up.” This is us loving him enough to let him go, to find the home where he won’t just survive, but thrive. We’re absolutely devastated, but we know this is the right thing.
If you believe you can give Soul the life he deserves, safe, peaceful, and full of love, please get in touch. We will be incredibly careful about where he goes. He’s a once-in-a-lifetime kind of dog, and this decision is breaking our hearts.
We will be doing some checks on anyone interested in giving soul a home! So if you aren’t willing to be honest and accept that we will want to do a home check and ask for some proof of ID.
He’s healthy has had a full health check (we can give a vet reference) has full vaccinations, microchipped, flea and wormed regularly. He isn’t castrated yet because he’s so incredibly small! We are in contact with his original breeder and I’m sure they will be happy to have conversations too.
