REHOMING POST: Located in Rotherham
I have my two beautiful babies, Bami (2 years and 2 months, White-Face Pearl Cockatiel, Male) who I got from Shippos Cockatiels Doncaster, and Yoshi (1 years and 4 months, Lutino, Female) who I got from A’s Birds Nest and Parrot Rescue, and I’m unfortunately having to make the decision to rehome the two due to difficult family issues/conflict + having to move out for university in August/September.
They are both tame, hand-reared and affectionate birds with silly personalities opposite of one another.
I’ll describe both their personalities in a little description below just to keep it short 🥲
Bami: Silly, energetic and clingy. Obsessed with whatever you do and doesn’t have any preferences for either women or men, he WILL fly onto your head regardless 🤦🏻♀️ he doesn’t know any of the iconic songs but can do a very sad sounding wolf whistle and he goes “uwuwuwuwu” (I’ll put videos below as examples 😭). He also does giggle to himself, I.e when he’s being naughty and trying to bite through his food bag or when I wake them up in the morning and try to get him out, and he likes to play peekaboo! He LOVES scrambled eggs and I do feed them leafy greens and vegetables occasionally, however spinach is his particular favourite. As for fruits, he does enjoy a bit of apple or grapes out of everything else but not OBSESSED. As for showering, he prefers the mist bottle. And loves to be pet!
Yoshi: My beautiful, lazy daughter who would nap throughout the whole day if she had the chance. In contrast to Bami, she’s not all over the place and is the type of birdie to simply sit on your knee or shoulder/head when you rest, or work at your desk. If you take a nap, she’ll take a nap. However be warned! As this sneaky little bugger loves to CHEW everything she can get her little body to - be it wires, poop (😫), wood, paint, cardboard AND JEWELLERY - if you’re not careful and you have her near your face she’ll try to rip off any piercing you have on your face, or chew on your necklaces regardless of how expensive they are 😅 Sometimes she’ll even try and dig into your nostrils 🙄 Although most likely to chill wherever, if she hears her brother Bami getting into trouble she will get major FOMO and scream and fly to him immediately just to join him in his antics 😂 Yoshi loves to eat her leafy greens, enjoys baby broccoli and baby corn. Favourite fruit is apples, not really interested in oranges or grapes, or even eggs as much as Bami is. Her showering preference is in her water bowl, she doesn’t EVER have interest in taking a shower with the spray mist bottle 😗 And this one is absolutely obsessed with pets and will force you to pet her instead of getting her to step up.
Overall info: ❌Will not allow you to have them for breeding.❌
I will of course provide more information if you message me, and although I’m having to rehome them that doesn’t mean I don’t want to keep in contact with their new family members ☹️😢 I’m looking for someone who would be alright with staying in contact with me, + me occasionally/monthly ordering them/their new flock any toys or accessories youd be interested in buying them, I 100% want to help, or even also paying for their insurance!!
And for the perfect family, I’d be willing to travel out as far as areas like Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, etc (areas that are about an hour/2 hours away max).
They both do well with other birds, especially Bami who is obsessed with other cockatiels, so no issues with joining a flock!! They are currently insured under Exotic Direct and last had an overall health check up in December and were completely fine health wise! Their diet consists of mixed seeds, I do try to put Harrison’s Pellets in their bowls but I’m not entirely how much they actually eat them + a separate plate with greens and vegetables where they can choose to eat whenever they want throughout the day 😭
‼️The £150 is simply the rehoming fee! (Not for personal gain, as it’ll be spent back onto them anyways) + a home check will be required either in-person or through video, just so I can make sure they’re going to a well-suited home!
- They’ll come with all their toys, accessories, perches and a brand new bag of food, playstand, rope swing, etc. however, I will not be able to transport them with their cage as it’s too big (but I will provide the exact same Yaheetech flight cage model from Amazon and have it ordered to your house instead for when they arrive if that’s alright - I’ll help you with building it if needed and putting all their perches and toys into their original places just so they’re comfortable).
