Hello, this is my leopard gecko spooks. I'm a 17 year old girl at i got her around four years ago, ive loved her so much and cared for her so deeply, however, October 2024, whilst I was at a friend's house my dad was feeding her and accidentally left the tank open, allowing her to escape.
In that time I struggled with mental health issues and family issues and lost a lot of motivation for things I enjoyed at the time. I hoped she'd return, but I eventually gave away some of her things as I didnt know how much longer she'd survive on her own.
However, today as I was cleaning up an old cupboard in my hallway I found her hidden in a boot. She was missing for nine months.
Im 17 now, I have a job and college work and five pet rats from my sister, I no longer have the facilities to care for her nor the time. Shes very skinny, and I am currently nursing her back to health as best as I can, she has stuck shed to her toes and her eyes, ive read not to touch it because it can hurt them, and a vet costs too much for me at the moment.
I really want her to go to a loving home, to someone who can properly care for her and help her back to her original healthy state. Shes four years old roughly, loves to be held and is very very friendly. I really want someone to help her.
She is going for free, as I dont think its right to charge someone to help her, I also have her tank and decor to go for free as well.
