Meet the very special soul Tobby, a Labrador cross in his foster home in Lincolnshire. He is 3 years old and a very special boy.
He was abandoned in Cyprus, rescued and taken to a shelter. We often don’t know what these dogs have gone through, but we know Tobby had some bad experiences that he has slowly learned to shake off. He is a very shy boy who takes time to trust but then he absolutely shines with love and joy. He is a happy dog at heart, and he has bravely faced his fears and become a truly loving boy who wants cuddles and adores playing with any type of ball. He is good with other dogs and has shared kennel and his foster space with other dogs. Tobby is also wonderful with cats, he accepts them as part of his animal pack, video attached. He is good on lead and is happy walking with and meeting other dogs and people who let him approach them. He is still learning about his new world and needs love and patience as he adjusts.
We feel that Tobby ideally needs to live with another dog/dogs or at least have a dog visiting frequently in the early days so they can show him that all is well. However, he has progressed so well that he could possibly be an only dog with the right family who trust his process and give him time to come to them. Once he trusts you, he is yours.
He would love a garden to run and play, especially fetching a ball. Tobby never quits the game first! Any children in the family must be 12 years plus, and an experienced calm home to allow Tobby to gain confidence and slowly learn about his new home.
Tobby, is vaccinated, neutered, full blood test and Brucella Canis test
