Description

Ralph is 4 years old, his DOB is 26/9/2021. He is a lovely, lovely lab, very family orientated. We’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old, and this has been a really difficult decision for us. He’s always been a really soft dog, he likes attention, fuss, his walks and field runs, and to be with someone a lot. As independent as he is, he does prefer to be with someone and can be quite clingy at times. I have a 14 month old, and naturally he’s getting less attention than he was getting before, and he isn’t coping too well with it. He’s also a big Labrador, so needs walks twice a day or a run in a field once a day, and I can’t give him that anymore. We have another baby on the way too, so there is just absolutely no way I have the time he deserves. He’s house trained, he was neutered last June. Up to date with all his vaccines, including his booster and kennel cough every year. Up to date with flea & worm, gets delivered to the house via his pet plan. Goes for annual checkups and the vets love him and tell me he’s perfect every time. I don’t think he’s coping to well with the constant change as he was used to the routine before we were in before I had a baby, then I was on maternity leave for 13 months and now I’m back working, and also with another baby on the way there will be a lot more change. He needs to be with someone who can give him the attention and time he deserves. This is breaking my heart to have to do this. I won’t let Ralph go to just anybody so there will be checks etc.
