Description
Skippy is a tame ringneck and has an exceptional temperament, and is calm with our children. He steps up and recalls in flight although like most parrots this depends on his confidence with his handler and his motivation. His first love is food, followed by hanging out with people and sitting on your phone, hand, shoulder, head, upside down on your sleeve, pocket, wherever he can manage really. He also enjoys flying and playing, and makes us laugh all the time. He is pretty confident and relaxed for a ringneck and very sweet, although being a ringneck he can be nippy if excited and takes some time to get used to new people. We have not found him to be jumpy or oversensitive as many ringnecks are. Skippy needs time out of his cage every day and would benefit from the company of another ringneck, although he does very much like people. He is split rung and his ring states 2025 as his birth year. We rescue and rehabilitate parrots, and Skippy is a good candidate for rehoming so does not need to stay as a permanent resident although can and will if he does not find a suitable home! He is a really lovely boy and deserves the best home. Questions welcome, please make sure you know plenty about ringnecks and parrot care generally. His cage can go with him if needed.
