Description

We got her at 8 weeks old from the breeder, we are not the breeder but there was no option to select this. She came from working parents and I met mum, dad, and a full blood brother from previous litter who all lived and worked on the farm. She needs more training than I can cope with on my own with a distracting toddler, this was harder work than I was anticipating having only owned adult Dogs previously, she's house trained, crate trained and doesn't suffer with seperate anxiety. She does sit but nothing else. Her recall is non existent, she pulls on the lead although currently not full grown or that strong so this isn't an issue and I believe will be easily sorted with someone with more time and no pushchair in tow too. She doesn't like traffic and will lunge, I believe this needs more attention and will be harder to work on than the pulling which I am finding hard to manage with the pushchair so I limit our walks to avoid the traffic meaning I am not actually helping her face and deal with the situation. She doesn't like strangers or Dogs on walks, she lunges, barks and snaps because of this behaviour I don't feel safe to walk her with my toddler not contained in a pushchair and because of this I don't feel confident to walk her anywhere where Dogs may be off of the lead. I don't believe I have what it takes to help her and I hope by making this decision early on she's still young enough for someone with more time to deal with the negative behaviors and turn her around into the perfect Dog I know she has the potential to be. She is still in the nippy stage but this I think is easy to train her she just needs consistency and as will pulling should take no time at all but the other issues I think need more time, attention and effort. She lives with Cats but does chase them. I think she'll thrive in a home without Cats or children causing distractions to her training. I have visited family in their house and she has settled down and got along with 4 Dogs eventually but she really doesn't like Dogs on walks and I think because simply passing by is not enough time to calm and settle her. Sometimes she's so anxious she'll wee herself. I love her, will be asking alot of questions and will only rehome her to better circumstances, I will want to visit to drop her off just due to her nervousness around strangers I think this will help her settle.
