Jasper is an absolutely lovely boy and is looking for his forever home due to no fault of his own. This has been a heartbreaking decision.
Due to my poor health, being with his litter mate sister and being bullied by my Miniature Dachshund boy I feel that I have to make the right choice for Jasper.
I suffer from Fibromyalgia, which is getting progressively worse. This is greatly limiting the amount of exercise I can give the dogs and Jasper needs to be able to have at least one walk a day. He walks well on the lead but I have not worked on recall. This is because having four dogs I tend to either walk them in the lead or take them to a dog field. Controlling all four (especially with two sausages) can be a bit of a nightmare.
Jasper has been brought up around older children (10-16 yrs) and has a wonderful nature. He loves to play and cuddle on the sofa.
He is part of a pack of dogs and is unfortunately the bottom of the pecking order. His sister, who is much smaller than him, can be very aggressive in play with him. They don’t fight, but that is because Jasper is submissive. He is sadly also regularly put in his place by my boy sausage, who is a very small top dog. So Jasper is very used to being with other dogs, but could do with a calmer friend. He would also absolutely love to be someone’s one and only.
The only negative, although it’s not really a negative at all, is that Jasper is still very much a young boy at 16 months old and he sometimes thinks he is a kangeroo! He does get excited and jump up. Which is entirely my fault as I have just not had the energy to put in the correct training. He does not have a single bad bone in his body. He really is the most lovely boy. He is just young and energetic.
Jasper is crate trained, house trained and is fed a raw diet.
He is KC registered.
Jasper would come to his new home with a supply of food. Blankets and toys from home and any other bits of his.
