Description
Had since june 2 were 8 weeks old another one kept getting unpicked so hes abit older. So i took him with the other two.
They are use to having the run of the frontroom, that much that they dont pass the doorway but bite at the cage to be let out.
All they do is poop when out but its dry and easy to sweep up. They tend to pee where they eat so the cage. They love getting zoomies and saying hi with their squeaks and popcorn jumps.
Ive tried reusable pet mats, have to have one a day due to the thinness and not worth the smell building up whilst making up a washer worth. And would cost alot to get that many.
So i tried the disposable pet mats intop of the washable ones and that worked. Changing daily.
But tryed paper shavings this month and sawdust. Was trying different hay and pellet and paper bundle off small pets. The boys are happy but im sneezing and runny nose like no tomorrow but i will cope.
But daughter finally got a cuddle with the oldest one and she broke out in hives. They are all sweet and have not bit or nipped. They aint fans od being picked up or holded but the oldest one chewy will stick around for abit. Piggie the brown one will for a little bit. But hammy acts like a hawk has caught him, yet hes the bravest one to come over and say hi when walk in the room or sit down 😂. They only have wooden huts as other things soaked up the wee. And hammy loves to lay ontop of the huts. They are forever munching or napping and with the sawdust only need cleaning out once a week (scoop with dustpan).
- caution they like to nibble on wood so been nibbling on daughters doll bed which we dont mind. And doll hair or sweeping brush strands and similar textures. Do try to keep ontop of the dolls with hair being out but im juggling the circus alone.
The hay and pellets i was getting them prior was from b&m and then the new sawdust is from a lady off facebook she bulk orders and passes on the saving £3.50 for a huge bag that will last these boys 4 weeks.
But between the veggies, hay, pellets ect its costing more then £100 a month. So need someone that can afford that
Come with their cage (we call it their bedroom) hay feeder that mounts on the cage, two dens, half bag of sawdust (2 more weeks worth) half bag of paper bedding might last a week or less. Lots of hay x2 types the b&m and the small animals and some apple tree chew sticks and a matt you can hide pellets in so they can have fun foraging and the pet matts. They like breakfast and tea 😆 and will also call for it anytime they hear a wrapper.
Have same dices veggies that will last till sunday for them (i order them and dice and mix into bags so can grab and give)
Donation welcome but happy for them to go where they can be free to roam house or shed/ garden. They defo would not be fans of a hutch. Probably be happier with a rescue or herd. But they are not neutered.
