Description

Meet Rocco, our 6‑month‑old male Cocker Spaniel. We are reluctantly looking to rehome him due to having very young children, as he has shown some aggression towards them and us. Our children must come first, and sadly this means we cannot provide the right environment for him. About Rocco • Age: 6 months • Breed: Cocker Spaniel (male) KC registered • Training: House trained, crate trained, sleeps well, travels well. Will sit on command and has great recall. • Temperament: Needs an experienced owner who can give him time, patience, and extra training. He is not suitable for a family with young children in our honest opinion. Ideal Home Rocco would thrive with: • A couple who have experience with cockers and can dedicate time to his training • Or a single person who can give him the attention and consistency he needs. Why We’re Rehoming This is a very difficult decision for us. We’ve tried our best, but our two little ones are our priority. We truly believe Rocco will make a wonderful dog in the right setting, and we want to find him a loving, suitable home. He can be very temperamental when it comes to handling. Putting on his lead or harness is difficult, and he may react aggressively if he feels pressured. He also dislikes having his paws wiped, which can make routine care a challenge. Because of this, he needs someone patient, experienced, and willing to work with him through consistent training and positive reinforcement. With the right guidance, his behaviour can improve, but he requires a calm and confident handler. We will not sell to a family with the young children. Home visits welcome.
