It is with the heaviest heart I am having to look for a new home for my 4 year old boy Maximos. Reason being a change in personal circumstances means we can no longer give him environment and time and attention he deserves.
Italian import from a volcanic mountain in Italy on the outskirts of Naples, Italy. Has FULL five generation Italian Kennel club paperwork.
When my wife and I went to Italy to see him was October 2019, and it was so unfortunate as within 3 months there was the coronavirus outbreak which meant socialising him was difficult. He lives peacefully in a household with three of our children 20, 18 & 8). He dotes on our 8 year old and resided with our late French bulldog that was 10 years old before she passed away a few months ago.
What I will say is that when he comes across larger breeds on walks he is fine but not so much with smaller ones…bad experiences for him as a puppy around our local park has somewhat made him nervous around them. Strange seeing as though he lives side by side with a French bulldog! On another note he really doesn’t like cars…I suppose having spent the first three months months of his life on the side of a volcanic lemon grove in the almalfi coast and being brought to a busy town in the UK most have been a huge culture shock for him!
An ideal home would be somewhere that has…
-a big garden or land owner.
-to have someone who can appreciate a dog that needs a loving companion (he does NOT suffer from separation anxiety, but large breeds live to serve their master).
-owned a large breed of dog before/presently.
