Please read all the information first on Romeo.
Romeo is nearly 3 years old (DOB 6/6/2021) and is currently in Brighton, East Sussex. After a tough decision, he is being rehomed as he needs a more active life.
Romeo is a beautiful big hound (Sabueso Hound) with big feet! He is a vocal boy in the garden when he sees wildlife. He is great with other dogs and another dog would be good for him in the home. We would advise no cats because of his high prey drive.
Romeo is a little nervous of people to start with especially men but once he knows them he is much better. Our dogs have not been treated kindly in Spain so no wonder they take a while to learn to trust but they do given time and patience.
Romeo is very food orientated and will raid bins if he can get to them. He is strong on the lead so he needs someone who can manage him.
So what we need for Romeo’s new home is an active family who like to walk lots or activities such a mantrailing or agility. A home where there is someone at home or working at home so he is not left for long periods of time. Another dog in the home. Although he could be an only dog if there was someone around a lot for him. No cats or small furries. Someone who will not mind him being vocal in the garden although with more exercise this could improve. A strong person who will be able to walk him.

Please note: We are looking for a secure garden with fencing or walls to a minimum of 5ft. We also need the dogs to be kept on a lead, long lunge lead or for people to use enclosed fields for off lead exercise as these dogs are scent hounds & have hunting backgrounds.
We do not rehome with children under 8 years old.
