Our 18 month old American Bulldog cross, is looking for an extra special home 🏡 Described as “the true definition of the BFG” could that be with you?!
Tally is a large, extra handsome boy with a whole LOT of love to give his future family 🥰
Rescued from the Pound after being on Red Alert and scheduled to be PTS, he came into the care of PPTF at the start of the year We know nothing of his life before this time but he has spent time in a foster home and at one point we believed he had found his forever home but sadly it wasn’t meant to be He is currently in kennels and would really love the chance to experience family life again 🥰
Tally is a large, believed to be American Bulldog cross, who is described as a “happy, playful dog” by the kennel staff ⭐️
He thrives on routine and needs boundaries and structure, these will be of the upmost importance in his new home 🏡 His new family must be willing to work closely with the Rescue while he transitions from a kennel environment and into a family home again 🥰
Tally is not yet fully mature, he still displays puppy like tendencies but he loves making his people happy and is eager and responsive to training 😇 He quickly learnt the household routine and dynamics during his spells in family homes and was taught more advanced commands in a short space of time 🧡
He enjoys the company of similarly sized female dogs and previously lived with another dog 🐶 He has a prey drive so unfortunately cannot live with cats and/or small furries 🐱🐰 Nor can he live with children due to his size and strength 👧🏻
Tally is quite the escape artist so his new owner will have to be vigilant regarding external doors and have a secure outdoor space for him 🌳
PPTF volunteers and the kennel staff report Tally engages and walks well on the lead but he is a strong boy who can occasionally react to environmental stimulus so an owner who is experienced with larger breeds is essential With guidance and support he has the potential to be the best boy 🧡
Tally hasn’t had an easy start to life and can be protective of his family, he would be happiest if he knew he had a home where he never had to worry where he was going to be moved to next Commitment, dedication and the willingness to work with the Rescue Team are vitally important if you are considering adopting Tally 🐾
Separation anxiety is common amongst dogs who have been in the Pound but with planning and consideration Tally would have no problems settling into family life 🫶🏼
He has always slept well and with a measured approach he could be left for longer periods of time with no issues
He has never been destructive or troublesome, all he really wants is a comfy bed in a place he can call home forever 🥰
Tally is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped
He was saved from the Pound and deserves so much more than kennel life 💔

🐱 Cannot live with cats and other small curries
👦🏻 Cannot live with children due to his size
