Description

2 year boy dachshund for rehoming. His name is Lucho, we’ve had him since being a puppy. he’s always been a lovely family dog (we have 2 young children) he’s very playful and loves attention. Unfortunately recently he’s killed our rabbit and had hold of a rat, since this he’s been very unpredictable. He’s been food guarding, very reactive and has bitten one of our friends on the leg unprovoked. I don’t know if informing a vet will mean he has to be put to sleep or not, or even if that’s the right thing to do as he’s not a vicious natured dog but now I can not trust him and with my children I won’t take the risk. I think he would really benefit from someone who lives alone and has all the time in the world for him but unfortunately we just haven’t. We don’t want to ask anything for him due to the circumstances but we have to be sure that there will be nothing but good intentions, training and patience with him as he really needs it.
