It’s a sad time but need to start rehoming some of my girls. I am reaching the ripe old age of 80 and am looking to retire both myself and my girls.
I hold the 5 Star Dog Breeders Registration with Norfolk Council.
I have a gorgeous Golden Retriever called Kacey. She is KC Registered but will not be coming with her registration papers.
She is cream in colour. Not looking quite her best at the moment as she is in the middle of a moult.
If you are house proud, a Retriever is not for you as a couple of times a year, they moult quite extensively.
She is fit and healthy.
She was a Covid puppy so hasn’t had as much socialisation as she should have. She is therefore, slightly nervous of strangers but once she knows them, she’s fine.
She was born on the 11th of September 2020 so will be 5 next month.
She can only go to a 5 star PET home.
She has all the relevant health tests applicable to Golden Retrievers.
She has given me several gorgeous babies but now she needs to be someone else’s baby.
Compared to her litter sister, (Katie who is a bundle of mischief) she is a much calmer dog although she can be a bit of a counter surfer.
She will need some basic training as she has been a kennel dog, although she has spent at least 5 months of each year in the house and is clean indoors.
She must not be bred and a stipulation in the contract is that she will be spayed at the optimum time which is usually half way between seasons.
The contract states if for any reason, the rehoming doesn’t work, she MUST be returned to me.
She is fine with other dogs if she knows them so if a potential adopter has another dog, then they would need to meet and see if they get on together.
She is not used to cats so not sure how she would deal with them.
She has not had much to do with young children so older children would be fine.
I would prefer an older couple as I think that would be ideal for her.
She will need to be taught basic obedience and a few manners.
She is fine in the car.
She must not go to a home where she will be in a kennel and under no circumstances, is she to be bred from.
She deserves a nice comfortable retirement with lots of attention.
She needs to have her own family and to sit with them of an evening in front of the telly and nice walks during the day time.
