Guardian home only. Alfi is a wonderful French import Miniature American Shepherd or Mini Aussie. We are looking for a Guardian home ideally in Cornwall or Devon for this wonderful boy.
Alfi is a blue merle with tan points and striking blue eyes. He is crate trained, house trained and is currently receiving basic training, socialisation and loose lead walking.
His parents are fully health tested and Alfi himself has been tested for genetic diseases with the all clear.
Alfi is very sociable and friendly to everyone and everything he meets and in turn he is loved by all who meet him. He is a pleasure to have around our home, he is clean, sleeps well in his crate, plays well with our children and he ignores the cat.
Ideally we are looking for a fully committed and reasonably active family to provide a home for Alfi. He loves being with us and getting out and about on adventures.
We are a small, fully licensed family breeder of Bernedoodles and Aussie Bernedoodles. We do not operate a kennels but instead run a popular Guardian home program.
He would need to come back to us when our chosen girl/s are ready to be bred and occasionally for use with outside girls. You would be given up to two weeks notice and he would need to come back to us usually for a quick visit (20 minutes or so), once a day for two or three days. Our Guardians usually just nip down the road for a coffee whilst he does his business.
We expect that we will only need to use him once a year as we are not a large breeder.
For each successful litter of four or more Cornish Doodle puppies you will be given a monetary ****************** of £500.
Once Alfi has retired he would be officially signed over to his Guardian family to continue living with you as your pet. The whole idea behind the program is that each Guardian dog becomes a much loved pet with a loving home and family.
As a Guardian family you would be responsible for the day to day expense of owning a dog including annual vet checks, vaccinations, mandatory insurance costs, paraphernalia (toys, leads, bedding etc). Cornish Doodles would be responsible for all breeding related costs including any required health testing.
As a Guardian home you must be willing and able to meet these requirements:
Be willing to teach basic commands such as sit, stay, down, wait and leave it and be willing to continue crate training.
Happy to continue to socialise puppies and get them out and about (restaurants, cafes, play parks, garden centres etc - just out meeting lots of people and other dogs.
He/She must be loved and an important member of your family.
Fed a high quality (preferably raw) diet.
Must be housed in your home and not outside or in an outbuilding.
All other dogs in the home MUST be neutered if they are the opposite sex.
Provide regular age-appropriate exercise.
Must not allow the guardian dog to mate with any unapproved dogs.
Provide veterinary care as and when needed.
Be able to communicate with us about scheduling testing, mating, whelping, and anything else breeding or health related.
We ask that Guardian families pay a £500 deposit which will be refunded once Alfi has fathered his first litter.
