Melon’s life has not been easy. In Turkey, many stray dogs are sadly killed due to the new animal law. Melon escaped death twice thanks to volunteers, and on the third time she was finally brought to safety in London.
Despite everything, Melon’s soul remains pure and gentle. She is:
🐶 Breed: Anatolian Shepherd Mix
👧 Age: 2.5 years
♀️ Sex: Female, spayed
💉 Fully vaccinated & healthy
💪 Strong immune system – very lucky health-wise
🚻 Fully toilet-trained
🐾 Excellent with other dogs and cats – calm and non-reactive (even when small, noisy dogs bark at her, she simply looks or steps back)
🐱 Cats can come right up to her and she does nothing – completely gentle
👧 Great with children in her foster home
🐕 Walks on a leash – still learning, not perfect yet, but improving every day
💤 Slightly shy at first in a new environment, but quickly settles (when she first entered a house in Istanbul, she simply slept peacefully for two days)
A loving companion who prefers the company of humans and enjoys gentle interaction Melon is not a reactive or demanding dog. She has the heart of a survivor, but the soul of a gentle giant. She is now searching for a family who will give her the safe, loving life she truly deserves.
