Absolutely devastated to be writing this. I have had chows 25yrs. Unfortunately my son bought a male for his family pet because he had been brought up with them,but underestimated the commitment or owning a pet and couldn't manage. I have a 12yr girl and he ended up with me and my girl. My problem is he will not leave her alone not in a nasty way but she is old and needs a peaceful rest of her life.He likes her very much he wants to play she doesn't. He is socialised to a degree my sister has a chow and my daughter has a male and they play when they neet up.I also work full time and keeping 2 dogs seperate or swapping over and managing a job. I must stress he is a handful . He is head shy cause he cannot see you and typical chow characteristics. He barks to let you know he wants to go out. He loves playing with toys and (i have never known it from a chow) retrieves. Fully house trained. I have grandchildren what visit. He would suit a couple who want a dog to spoil but also will take a firm hand as he will try to over power you if you let him. He loves going for walks. He is beautiful self red colour ,good all round entire male. He will not go to just anyone. Fully vaccinated microchipped. He is used to the car . Previous chow owners preferred .
