Description
KODA IS IN THE CARE OF LURCHER LINK RESCUE Koda is a whippet-cross / small lurcher. Koda is 20 inches to the shoulder and weighs about 15kg. She has a short, slightly-kinked tail and a slight heart murmur; the result of having Parvo as a puppy. The heart murmur does not currently require any medical treatment, but if it does in the future, Lurcher Link Rescue will help out with any resulting medical costs. Koda is nervous with people and other dogs. She is slowly getting used to other dogs; but she is still quite timid and reserved, and is prone to occasionally panic if she is feeling overwhelmed. For this reason she will need to be walked in a 3-point-harness and a slip-lead in busy situations where there would be lots of other dogs and people - to keep her safe and prevent her bolting towards danger or getting lost. Koda has a high prey-drive; she is VERY interested in any rustling noises in the hedgerows etc, and is not suitable to live with cats or other small furry animals. Due to her nervousness, Koda would not like a home with young children. Koda is used to being crated and is nearly there with toilet-training (having previously not lived in a house before). Koda is keen to please and likes treats so should be easy to train. Koda can be very noisy if she thinks she has been left; so she will need sensitive, patient new owners who are willing to take time to build up how long Koda is left home alone. Koda can be a bit picky as to which dogs she likes.
