💙 Buddy is a gentle and loving boy who loves being around people. He loves a head rub and will nuzzle your hand or will lay his head on your lap for them.
Currently living in a foster home, Buddy lives with 5 other dogs. He is fine around food and treats. He can complete for attention and occasionally growled at the other dogs when they try come near when he is having cuddles.
Buddy also likes some time in his own space where he can retreat to if he feels overwhelmed. He could potentially live with another calmer dog with slow and sensible introductions however he would be better suited to a quieter home due to his crave for human attention and affection.
Buddy likes to let visitors know he is there by giving a little bark when they enter but is great with them. Buddy has met child visitors, obviously he loves getting the attention and he is really gentle Buddy could live with dog savvy children.
Buddy loves his walks and walks lovely on the lead. He's currently getting used to the big wide world outside of shelter and isn't keen on loud noises or sudden movements - he will flinch and move away from these. He can also be slightly nervous of traffic but this is improving with every walk.
Buddy is a clever boy who is learning simple commands, he loves his treats so this is good for his training. His favourite is 'paw' which he will give voluntarily in the hope for a sneaky treat.
Buddy can be and has been left at home for up to 6 hours with and without the other dogs and has be fine - showing no signs of anxiety. He gives the cutest bum wags and happiest greetings with little foot taps when you get home!
Overnight Buddy sleeps in his open crate and settles straight down when told it’s bedtime. He will try sneak into the human bed if he can but this is something we’ve not allowed.
Buddy is toilet trained.
