Description
His story:
Mokka was rescued from a public shelter – one of the overcrowded kill stations where so many never get their second chance. His life was hanging by a thread, but help came just in time. Now he’s safe in a private shelter, patiently waiting for his own person and his place in the world.
He’s a small dog with a big heart – a sensitive boy who simply needs to feel secure. You can tell he’s ready to trust, ready to love, and just waiting for that gentle hand to show him what safety really means.
📅 Estimated Date of Birth: 18 April 2021
📏 Height: approx. 32 cm
⚖️ Weight: approx. 14 kg
🏷 Type: Dachshund mix with small local breeds
Character:
Mokka has a naturally soft and observant nature. He takes a moment to get to know new people, but once he feels safe, he shows his sweet, loyal personality and enjoys being close. He’s not fearful or shy – just thoughtful, the kind of dog who likes to understand his surroundings before he relaxes.
He’s affectionate in a quiet way, enjoys gentle attention and will slowly grow into a trusting, devoted companion. A calm and kind home suits him best, without too much chaos or loudness.
The presence of another balanced, friendly dog could be a lovely bonus for him – it would help him feel confident and offer companionship – but it’s not essential if his adopters have enough time and love to give.
A secure, “dog proof” garden with good fencing and well-closing gates is essential, so Mokka can safely explore, do his toilet needs, and enjoy a bit of freedom while gradually learning to walk on a lead and experience the world beyond the shelter.
He has a moderate energy level – happy to join walks and activities, but equally content to relax near his people afterwards.
Ideal home:
Mokka wouldn’t be happy spending long, full workdays alone. He thrives on company, warmth and gentle routine. Once he feels safe and loved, he’ll quietly follow you everywhere – a loyal little shadow who finds comfort in being near.
We’re looking for kind, patient adopters who understand that love is built through small moments and calm consistency. Mokka doesn’t ask for much – just a soft voice, a safe place and someone to belong to.
✨ Mokka is a little boy with a gentle soul. Give him warmth, trust and time – and he will reward you with the purest gratitude and love.

Friends InDeed is a registered charity organization. A home check (sometimes even online) is required before every adoption. We do not place our dogs with people who do not genuinely love dogs — too many lives depend on us, and we simply cannot be too careful!
To adopt one of our dogs, you must have your own private garden and no children under the age of 10. We do not provide working dogs, therapy dogs, or assistance dogs — no matter how noble or well-intentioned the purpose may be.
If you adopt MOKKA, he will live with you as a beloved family companion, cared for and cherished as he deserves. You also agree to stay in touch with us so we can assist you with any questions or challenges that may arise.
We prefer to communicate via phone or WhatsApp, as we both work during the day and have limited access to email. It’s also much easier — we can exchange all the necessary information at once. If you like, we can schedule a video call so you can see MOKKA live before meeting him in person.
We are a 100% genuine and transparent rescue, fully dedicated to saving lives. We are actively involved in the spaying and neutering of stray dogs and in finding them loving forever homes. We reserve the right to ask for a different adoption fee or donation for our shelter dogs, depending on individual circumstances. In most cases, our costs are not fully covered.
We stay in touch with all our adopters — now more than 500 families — and can provide excellent references upon request.
⚠️ Please note: we receive many irrelevant messages and calls. We kindly ask — no time-wasters, please!
Thank you sincerely for your understanding and compassion.
Warm regards,
Adrian & Maria
