After dealing with unfortunate circumstances it may be in mine and my partners best interest to potentially temporarily rehome my beautiful Frug Pixel. Pixel is two years old and was adopted by me in October 2023 and has been by my side ever since it is unclear how much training pixel had received when I adopted her and she was quite stubborn to learn but I can now delightfully say she has mastered the sitting command, sit and wait, stand up, dance , lie down, roll over, wait for dinner, wait by door and more!
At first I wasn’t confident with pixel being off leash but I can now take her for a walk without the need of a leash at all (although I still always bring one unless I forget ) she has learnt to wait at sidewalks before roads and to stay off the road on the path and also is able to pass by another dog without getting distracted. Her mannerisms towards other dogs are touchy tho as she seems to pester other dogs and depending on their temperament they may become agitated and snap at pixel. I would only let her play off leash with dogs her size or smaller and only with bigger dogs in an enclosed space with someone I knew and trusted their dog. She has flea and worm treatments monthly and also has had her booster jabs earlier this year. Pixel is microchipped. She eats a mix of dry and wet food and occasionally something different eg roast dinner or veg ckn rice / raw meat. She barley drinks any water and therefore has very little need for frequent toilet breaks once in the morning and once before bed is enough for her ( I always leave the door open when I am home) Pixel weighs just over 8kg and is a golden tan colour with large dark brown ears. The recommended exercise time for her breed is 30-1hr a day but Pixel will happily be out all day and evening without tiring (although you won’t get a peep out of her when she gets to bed 😂) or she will happily snuggle up on the sofa all day and do nothing. She doesn't become restless if missed a day of exercise but I will always substitute with an activity/ training or toy. Check out Pixels TikTok account @pixelthefrug to see more of her daily life!
